This course, led by Attachment Specialist Occupational Therapist, Julie Davis, explores how sensory systems influence a child's behavior and ability to form secure attachments with parents and caregivers. The Journey of Handwriting
An OT perspective of handwriting from mark making to cursive
This course provides an occupational therapy perspective on handwriting, covering everything from mark-making to cursive. It emphasises the role of motor and sensory systems, as well as visual perception, within handwriting and fine motor skills.
Participants will learn new strategies to support students in mastering handwriting and engage in practical activities to experience the challenges faced by children and young people who struggle with writing in and out of the classroom.
